![]() Maybe you're into making instructional videos, a streamed display is much nicer than putting a camera on it. Plus, if I ever wanted to stream my radio device to facebook or youtube I could do that easily. My eyes are already on that monitor if I'm using a logger and the stream window doesn't take up as much space as the remote program. ![]() For me I'd rather use my current monitor and stream the radio display there. So it all depends on what you want and have already. But if you've ever priced monitors in that size you'll see they are quite expensive still. not too big a deal, you can find those fairly easy and they don't cost much. So the option if you don't have one is to find a used one. I don't know about you but I don't have any of my old 15" sized monitors around any more. Three, and this depends, but to me a nice size external monitor to use via DVI would be something in the 15" range, give or take depending on how your station is setup. take up the full monitor or make it a smaller window to use alongside a logger or whatever radio software you might be using. ![]() Two, you can resize the window to whatever you want. For one is you don't need another monitor on your desk, use the same one for your computer. and you may want to think outside the box and have a bit of imagination. The device is plugged into the computer and uses software to stream the video output from the radio. It goes from DVI to HDMI into the device. Using the video capture device you are using the onboard DVI connection. So it's not an alternative to ARCP-890 because it's not for rig control. ![]() It is view only just like an external display. To start, this is an alternative to using an external display from the DVI port. or keep it simple and use an external monitor dedicated to the radio. Maybe you'd like to share your screen with a friend to show them something or show an issue or a strange rf signal, not a problem, do a teamviewer session or whatever remote screenshare app you'd use and the radio display is on your computer that you're sharing.
